Abstract
A novel surfactant-encapsulated terbium-substituted heteropolyoxotungstate complex [L1]13[Tb(SiW11O39)2]·30H2O (SEC-1) bearing mesomorphous groups was successfully prepared by the ionic self-assembling route, exhibiting characteristic thermotropic liquid-crystalline behavior. Keywords
