Abstract
An apparatus called an interval selector is described. In conjunction with two scaling circuits the apparatus records the total number of pulses in a distribution and also the number of intervals between pulses less than any arbitrary value τ. The range of τ in the instrument described is from 10−4 to 0.3 second. The application of the interval selector to the testing of particle‐counting apparatus is described.Keywords
