Systematics of and States in and From Inelastic Alpha Scattering

Abstract
From the scattering of 31-MeV alpha particles the existence of three states in , six states in , and a state in (two in ) have been found. The fractionation of the strength and the rapid and similar drop of and strength in going from to appear to be in disagreement with current ideas about the nature of these states.
