Abstract
Using surface applica-tions of xylene emulsions on breeding media containing different age house fly larvae, laboratory studies showed the compounds to have the following decreasing larvicidal efficiency: diazinon, EPN.parathion, Bayer 21/199, NPD, demeton, Bayer L 13/59 and malathion. Applications of 5 mg. diazinon per sq. ft. gave better than 90% mortalities of small, medium and large house fly larvae. Compounds were generally most effective on small or medium sized larvae and relatively ineffective against fly pupae. Keywords
