Development of non-local one-particle excitation Hamiltonian for atomic, molecular and solid state systems

Abstract

A general excitation operator of the generalized Hartree-Fock form is developed. This hamiltonian specifically includes electron-hole interaction. It is shown both that this operator possesses a Koopmans' Theorem and is based upon a variation principle.
