Bile Acids and Lipid Metabolism. I. Stimulation of Bile Lipid Excretion by Various Bile Acids

Abstract

Data are presented showing that after 60 min. perfusion of isolated rat livers very little phospholipid and free cholesterol is found in the bile. However, upon infusion of many of the bile acids normally present in rat bile a rapid and marked increase in the excretion of these lipids results.
