Abstract
Composite loads and induction machines are included in the study of steady state stability characteristics of power systems reported in this paper. Reactive power characteristics must be considered when induction machines are involved in addition to the real power characteristics which are considered for synchronous machine groups. A determination of the synchronizing power coefficients under various operating conditions, as described herein, provides a comparatively simple method of determining the safe and dangerous regions of steady state operation.Keywords
