Abstract
The ratio of saturation magnetization squared to wall energy, MS2/γ, can readily be determined from domain size measurements on uniaxial platelets or films with large values of cprime (= cMS2/γ, where c is the thickness). A graph is constructed from which this ratio can be found, even in the region of low cprime where there is no explicit relation between domain configuration and specimen thickness, and its use in the study of orthoferrites and garnet films is illustrated.
