Abstract
Tunneling spectra of hypothetical -wave and conventional -wave superconductors are expected to differ significantly. There is a bulk effect which arises due to the differences in the structure of the Cooper pairs, and a surface effect, which dominates, and is associated with the interface of the tunnel junction. We calculate the tunneling density of states of a -wave super-conductor in a magnetic field and discuss particular features which allow experimental identification of -wave superconductors.
