Absorption of Colostral Gamma-Globulins and Insulin by the Newborn Pig

Abstract
Gamma-globulins were detected electro-phoretically in the sera of baby pigs which were fed colostrum during 21 to 27 hours after birth but not in the sera of pigs fed colostrum after that time. Oral administration of insulin to baby pigs caused a measurable hypoglycemia when administered within 18 to 24 hours after birth. Copyright © . .
