In Vitro Activity of Silver Sulfadiazine against Herpesvirus hominis

Abstract

Silver sulfadiazine, at a concentration of 10 µg/ml inhibits Herpesvirus hominis types 1 and 2 in vitro. The antiviral effect is directly related to concentration of the drug and duration of exposure.
