Contribution to the study of the blue system of lutetium oxide

Abstract

The band spectrum of LuO was obtained in a d.c. arc and the blue system studied. Each band has been found to be double, and not single as previously reported. Consequently, a new interpretation of the electronic transition is given here. The dissociation parameters are also reported.
