Use of the argon and carbon dioxide lasers for treatment of superficial venous varicosities of the lower extremity

Abstract
Superficial telangiectasia of the lower extremity in 38 patients was treated with both argon and CO2 lasers. Results after five months revealed no change or worsening of the veins in 49% of the patients and good to excellent improvement or segmentation in 16% of the patients. The most common complication was brown hemosiderin bruising in almost half of the patients.
