Abstract
Whey protein patterns in milk samples from cows with induced mastitis were determined prior to and following inoculation of quarters with Aerobacter aerogenes. The cows showed increased temperatures, decreased production, grossly abnormal milk and marked changes in whey protein patterns in two trials. The only evidence of mastitis was increased cell numbers in the milk, but no definite changes in whey protein patterns in one trial. Changes in the relative percent of blood serum albumin and immune globulin occur at different times and different rates after inoculation. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
