CONTROL OF GRAM-NEGATIVE BACTERIA IN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS BY STREPTOMYCIN

Abstract
Streptomycin was found to be active against various gram-neg. bacteria in the animal body. It protected mice fully against Salmonella schottmulleri and excellently against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Chick embryos were fully protected against fowl typhoid and excellently against Brucella abortus.
