Abstract
The clinical effectiveness of a new antibiotic, Lincomycin, was studied in children with B-hemolytic strep-tococcal pharyngitis with or without tonsillitis. There was no significant difference in the bacteriologic cure rate or side-effect between Lincomycin and phenoxymethyl-penicillin. There were no major toxic, suppurative or allergic reactions to either drug. Children with streptococci pharnygitis treated with Lincomycin gave satisfactory results. Keywords
