Abstract
The results of the CAP [College of American Pathologists] Mycology Proficiency Testing Survey Programs for 1976-1979 were summarized and analyzed. There was a slight, but definite improvement in participant performance over this 4 yr period and considerable improvement over the performance of 1972. The problems in analyzing participant performance were reviewed. The Survey Program itself was examined in the light of the stated objectives; areas for improvement were noted.
