Abstract
Rhinometry is a method of determining the permeability of the nasal passages. Such measurements yield figures with which nasal insufficiency can be evaluated, thus supplementing the objective examination and anamnestic data and enabling the efficacy of any treatment to be checked more readily. Moreover, a sufficiently rapid and satisfactory rhinometric method makes possible serial examinations of e. g. schoolchildren, thus enabling children with nasal stenosis to be weeded out and referred for special examinations.
