Abstract
The ASS [argininosuccinate synthetase] determinant contributed to DON [Chinese hamster cell line] .times. human hybrids by chromosome 9 is the gene defective in the citrullinemic cell. The alteration in the kinetic properties of ASS in the citrullinemic cell strongly suggests, but does not prove, that the defective gene is the structural gene for ASS.Keywords
