Histoplasmosis (Reticulo-Endothelial Cytomycosis): A Review

Abstract

Summary Thirty-two cases of histoplasmosis, thirteen of which have not yet appeared in the literature, are reviewed. The spontaneous infection in animals is also noted. The disease is widely distributed throughout the world and will undoubtedly be recognized with increasing frequency in the future. Diagnosis and the possibilities of successful treatment are discussed.
