ARC PLASMA SYNTHESIS OF CARBON ENCAPSULATES CONTAINING Fe-Nd-B

Abstract
The carbon encapsulates were produced during arcing of graphite anode containing Fe-Nd-B alloy. The influence of operational parameters (e.g. pressure, anode composition) on the product morphology was examined. The products were analyzed by HR TEM, XRD, TG and magnetic measurements. Emission spectroscopy was performed to determine the temperature and C2 radical content in the carbon arc.
