Biometrical Notes on the Hybridization of Culex pipiens L. and C. quinquefasciatus Say

Abstract

An analysis was made of the above mosquitoes, their reciprocal hybrids (through the F4) and one half of the backcrosses. Hybrids were intermediate between parents; backcrosses were intermediate between the parents and the back-crosses. No intersterility was seen. The forms should probably be considered subspp.
