Abstract
During the development of intine in spores of Lycopodium annotinum the inner nuclear membrane develops extrusions into the area enclosed by the nuclear envelope. The outer nuclear membrane may then form bulges which seem to be distended cisternae of the endoplasmic reticulum, and which contain the constricted vesicles mentioned above. Such cisternae have been observed also in the cytoplasm between nucleus and wall. It seems that the vesicles enclosed in the endoplasmic reticulum are ultimately emptied into the developing intine. Keywords
