Abstract
A polarised neutron diffraction study of three iron-vanadium alloys containing 5, 15 and 22 at.% of vanadium has been carried out. The localised 3d spin moment, the diffuse negative moment and the asphericity parameter have been determined from these measurements, and are compared with results from bandstructure calculations. Keywords
