Evaluation of a prereduced anaerobically sterilized medium (PRAS II) system for identification anaerobic microorganisms

Abstract

A prereduced, anaerobically sterilized system of tubed media (PRAS II) was evaluated for accuracy in the identification of anaerobic microorganisms. PRAS II was found to be a rapid and accurate identification system for obligate anaerobes which does not require the use of gas cannula inoculation or incubation in a special anaerobic environment.
