Abstract
Excitation functions for fusion of + have been measured over a range of energies from below to well above the classical fusion barrier. Strong isotopic effects are observed in both the sub- and above-barrier cross sections, which are qualitatively consistent with suggestions of the importance of transfer reactions in the fusion process.
