Abstract
We consider the effect on critical dynamics of global, rather than local conservation laws. Restricting our consideration to model B (conserved order parameter) we present theoretical arguments and numerical evidence that global conservation is sufficient to establish the universality class of model B and can be used to construct faster algorithms for the calculation of dynamical critical exponents. Keywords
