Abstract
Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) has been increasingly reported in association with myeloproliferative disorders. Monoclonal gammopathy, myeloma, myeloid metaplasia and polycythemia were all found in association with PG. Recently, 7 cases of PG in association with leukemia were described: 3 cases with acute myeloblastic leukemia, 2 cases with chronic myelogenous leukemia, 1 case with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and 1 case with acute leukemia of plasma cell or myeloblast origin. To these 2 cases of PG with acute myeloblastic leukemia were added. These patients often have an atypical clinical presentation for PG, with bullae and relatively superficial involvement obscuring the correct diagnosis.
