Abstract
The structure of KD2PO4 has been studied by X-rays at 293°K, 232°K and 21l°K. The O-D-O bond length is nearly constant in the paraelectric region, and increases at the ferroelectric transition. The displacement of the oxygen atoms, due to distortion of the PO4 tetrahedron caused by the transition, is about 0.01 A. The anisotropy of the thermal parameter of the P atom changes at the transition. Keywords
