Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility is calculated for tetramethyltetraselenafulvalenium salts [] in a spin-density-wave (SDW) phase by using a quasi-one-dimensional quarter-filled Hubbard band in a mean-field approximation. The transverse susceptibility is found to be nearly constant below the SDW transition temperature, while the longitudinal susceptibility drops exponentially with temperature. This behavior is similar to that of the half-filled-band case studied earlier by the present author. The result is compared with the recent data on As.
