Abstract
O2 consumption was reduced to hypothyroid levels in reserpine-treated euthyroid and hyperthyroid guinea pigs, but no significant changes were noted in the reserpine-treated hypothyroid animals. The evidence presented and discussed suggests that reserpine antagonized the effect of thyroid hormone on O2 consumption. Keywords
