Abstract
A new conjugate addition/aldol strategy has been developed. Unlike conventional procedures that require metalation of the nucleophilic species, the procedure allows the direct coupling of aryl iodides, aldehydes, and acrylates in a nickel-catalyzed, organozinc-promoted process.Keywords
