Highly Efficient Reductive Deoxygenation of Acylferrocenes and α-Ferrocenylalcohols using Titanium(IV) Chloride and Sodium Cyanoborohydride

Abstract

A simple, mild and effective procedure for the reductive deoxygenation of α-ferrocenyl aldehydes, ketones and alcohols into the corresponding alkylferrocenes has been developed using the combination of titanium(IV) chloride and sodium cyanoborohydride.
