Abstract
We study numerically unsteady, one-dimensional flow between parallel plates in the hexagonal lattice-gas automaton. An initial tangential velocity instability is created at one plate and its propagation into the system is investigated. This propagation depends on the boundary condition at the opposite plate. From the observed fluid behavior, viscosity is estimated. Keywords
