Palatability of sugar of lead.

Abstract
Two studies were performed to explore the relative acceptability of lead acetate (sugar of lead) to albino rats. This substance has been reported to be sweet tasting and definitely acceptable. Using both brief exposure and cumulative intake methods, it was determined that rats tend to reject it in any and all concentrations in which they demonstrate detection and that preference for distilled water over lead acetate solution increases directly with log concentration of the solution.
