Abstract
It was found that daily doses of less than 1.0 mg of progesterone are more effective in promoting decidual development in castrated, pseduopregnant rats when the adrenal glands are absent, while there is no significant difference when larger amounts are given. Moderate doses of ACTH have a marked inhibitory action on decidual development under these conditions when the adrenal glands are present but ineffective in adrenalectomized animals. Keywords
