Effect of Sympathectomy on the Severely Traumatized Artery

Abstract
Arterial blood flow in dogs, distal to the site of gunshot injury and repair, was below normal for at least three hours after repair. Concommitant sympathectomy provides a 50% increase in flow across the repair within 40 minutes and a doubling of flow 80 minutes following reconstruction.Keywords
