Abstract
About two years ago, at the suggestion of Dr. W. H. Gaskell, F. R. S., I undertook the examination of the minute anatomy of the nervous system of the Crustacea. Certain of the results of the investigation are incorporated in the following paper. The nervous systems of Branchippus , of Astacus , and of the Zooea larva have been examined, but the following pages are limited, almost exclusively, to the two first-mentioned.
