The optical activity associated with solutions containing copper(II) ions and R-1,2-propanediamine (R-pn) has been examined in detail. Circular dichroism data previously reported for [Cu(R-pn)2]2+ have been found to be in error and new data are reported for this ion, as well as [Cu(R-pn)]2+.
