Abstract
Resection of the duodenum and proximal 20-30 cm of jejunum with end-to-end anastomosis between the stomach and jejunum and implantation of the bile and pancreatic ducts into the jejunum end-to-side, resulted in an increase in the output of HC1 of isolated gastric pouches in dogs ranging between 84% and 820%. Interposition of a segment of jejuno-ileum approximately 100 cm long between the stomach and duodenum resulted in similar increases in the output of HC1 isolated gastric pouches in dogs. Keywords
