ADRENAL CORTICAL FUNCTION IN HYPERTENSION

Abstract
The urinary corticoids and 17 ketosteroids were studied in early cases of severe hypertension. The patients (aged 22-52 years) were of both renal and"essential" types, with resting blood pressure equal to or greater than 180 mm. systolic-120 mm. diastolic. As controls, normotensive subjects in the same age range were used. Significant differences were not obtained.
