Abstract
In 1 kg. of chicken fat the authors found 5 mg. of lipochrome free from polyhydrocarbons. Pure xanthophyll and lutein both were present as 40% of the total pigment. Horse fat contained polyene and some carotene. Cow fat contained pure carotene, 20% of the total pigment.
