Abstract
Almost every branch of pathology has derived benefit from greater objectivity and greater quantitation. However, diagnostic histopathology remains obstinately subjective and non-quantitative. Although a well developed art, it is heavily dependent on experience acquired over a long period of time. Even so, experienced pathologists will sometimes reach confident but differing diagnoses on the same set of sections. Keywords
