Abstract
The author presents configuration interaction (CI) calculations of oscillator strengths for transitions between the 3s23p2 3P ground state and 3s3p3, 3s23p4s and 3s23p3s 3Po excited states of P II, both in LS and intermediate coupling. The first of these transitions is subject to strong cancellation in the dipole matrix element because of the CI mixing of the 3Po states. Keywords
