Temperature dependence of magnetization in amorphous Gd-Co-Mo films

Abstract
The temperature dependence of the magnetization of amorphous ferrimagnetic (Gd1−xCox)1−y Mo y films prepared by rf sputtering with x=0.79−0.88 and y=0.08−0.16 was studied in the temperature range 4.2−500 °K. The data, taken using a vibrating sample magnetometer and the polar Kerr effect, were found to be satisfactorily described by Néel’s two sublattice model.
