Vibrational Assignment of Phenanthrene-d10

Abstract
A vibrational assignment of phenanthrene‐d10 is presented. The infrared spectrum in polarized light of the single crystal and the Raman spectrum of the solution are analyzed with the help of a theoretical prediction of the normal frequencies by using a valence force field derived from anthracene. The results obtained are in complete agreement with the previous assignment of phenanthrene‐d0.Keywords
