Abstract
Reactivity is defined in the pressor response to an intravn. injn. of norepinephrine (0.25 or 0.50 [mu]g/kg) repeated every 3-5 minutes. Reactivity was measured 30 minutes before and for 150 minutes after injection of desoxycorticosterone acetate (I) or control solutions (II). I and II were followed by increases in reactivity. Nine of 13 dogs receiving I showed increases in less than 130 minutes, and 7 of 25 receiving II showed increases in this time. P = <0.05.Keywords
