The synthesis of a succinylated polystyrene polymer is described. The polymer is converted to the acid chloride form and condensed with thymidine derivatives. A number of methods for phosphorylation of polymer bound nucleosides were investigated and the synthesis of tetrathymidine triphosphate (TpTpTpT) is described.
