Linkage of the PTC locus to 18 other autosomal loci was analyzed in 80 two-generation families. We were not able to demonstrate linkage to any of these loci, although figures suggesting close linkage between Gm and PTC were obtained when data from the male parent were analyzed. Our studies confirm the absence of close linkage between PGM1 and PTC.
