Abstract
A series of 11 cases, 8 instances of cerebral tumors of various types, 2 examples of traumatic cerebral scars and one of localized marked scarring of the meninges, were presented. In each instance the lesion was localized by the electroencephalo-graphic technic. Various alterations in the spontaneous electrical discharge limited to the region of the lesion were obtained. These alterations consisted of 5 phenomena: waves at a frequency of 1/2 to 3 per sec. which were the most common; slow shifts of potential occurring from once in 5 to once in 2 secs.; sharp spikes; electrical discharges characteristic of localized convulsive seizures often without any other manifestations of the seizure; and absence of the normal a rhythm. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
